  So, this is how HTC treats their elderly neighbors?! I was looking for older churches to donate to when I came across this article. I will now take my donations elsewhere where. Somewhere they practice what what God has commanded. "Love thy neighbor".

  Ever since Natale moved into the home at 115 Dayton Street in 1958 (his in-laws had owned the home since 1954), he has dutifully maintained an approximately 500-square-foot triangular strip of land behind the house. That’s where the family parked their cars, and it’s where his caretakers have parked since his health began to decline.
  
  Ever since Vinson moved into her home at 121 Dayton Street in 1966, she’s turned onto the church-owned St. Mary Street, through the church’s parking lot, in order to park her car in the driveway behind her house. There’s no parking on the nearby Penn Street, and parking can be difficult on Dayton Street, especially on Sundays.
  
  Until recently, the church never seemed to have a problem with either of these situations. That appears to have changed.
  
  According to Tina Nelson, Natale’s daughter, about a year ago, the church surveyed its property to prepare for a festival it was about to hold and discovered it owns that triangular strip of land.
  
  “The next thing we knew,” she said. “(Holy Trinity’s pastor the Rev. John Hutter) came down here and said ‘this is my land. I want you off. Get out.’”
  
  Nelson said the family sought legal advice and were told that they could continue to inhabit the property until it was proven otherwise. They then emailed Archbishop Charles Chaput seeking help, but were given little, other than a suggestion they talk to Hutter.
  
  Hutter told them he’d sent a letter that said there would be some repairs to the church parking lot, Nelson said. When asked when he sent it, he admitted he left the letter on the porch instead of mailing it.
  
  “I’m thinking why in God’s name if he’s talking about the parking lot is he worried about the strip back here,” Nelson said, “that the family’s had in its possession for some time. It didn’t make any sense.”
  
  She called Holy Trinity to ask what the scope of the repairs to the lot would be, but did not receive an answer, she said.
  
  She emailed Chaput again asking for help, she said. That day, July 31, police were called to remove any cars from the strip of land, and a private property no trespassing sign was placed on the land. Additionally, because the church owns a portion of St. Mary Street, Vinson was told she can no longer use it to get to her driveway.
  
  Kenneth Gavin, an Archdiocese of Philadelphia spokesman, was mum on the details when The Mercury reached out for comment.
  
  “The pastor is aware of the concerns being raised and he is working to resolve this situation amicably,” Gavin said via email. “As it is a private matter involving the parish and an adjoining neighbor, he will not be discussing it in the press.”
  
  For now, the two families have been working together to try to get the church and the surrounding community’s attention. Large banners with slogans that say “Jesus for Joseph” and “Love Thy Neighbor” are posted around their fenced-in properties. They also have begun collecting signatures from neighbors who can acknowledge they witnessed the Natale family and/or their predecessors use and maintain the triangular parcel of land for a period of 25 years or more. They’ve also hired real estate attorney Leo T. White for help.
  
  “My dad still goes to church,” she said, tearing up. “He says he doesn’t want to fight with them because he loves his church and he loves his God. We don’t know what else to do. What do you do when your priest, when your church has turned their backs on you?”
